Started almost 60 years ago by Mr. Walter Friedrich the company developed, not only in name, to a German wide corporation in the area of pastoral products. In the begining mostly church furniture (sacristy), vaults and vitrines almost 30 years ago the assortment was expanded.
Today the Company W. Friedrich offers an assortment of almost 5.000 different products such as candles, altar candles, easter candles, advent candles, mourning candles and many more. Also we offer nearly all products well known as "church supplies". Amongst other things also incense hosts, wine, paraments, tablecloth and so on.
For our customer we offer a special service like votive-candle table for free use, taking back drip wax, delivery service by car (in special areas), on site consultation through sales representatives.
Also i like to welcome you in our sales room, in which you can see a great portfolio of our paraments, sacramental items and candles.

Our product philosophy:
good quality for a fair price.
Artistic and production-wise claim:
Some products for example the paraments, church devices and sacred vessels are especially designed and made for us. For tens of years we have the experiance and our artists the know-how to transform what we imagine. A good example are our crucifix made of bronze, begining with the number 09F... are W. Friedrich crosses, pleasing and useful the design and moderate in price.
Quality:
For us it is a special concern to offer products of good quality. Products for the church should be designed dignified and built solid. With our own products we try as well as possible to construct the products rationel but with high quality. This way the customer can buy good quality but inexpensive products. With altar candels we place value on the european seal of quality for safe and controlled quality. For the vestments we developed our own seal of quality.
Further growth:
Based on our own experience and the voice of our customers we regularly develop our own products and revise the existing. Many traditional products such as Blasius candleholders, candle lighters, flambeaux, bench-holders for candels etc. are technicaly optimized and for us through
the comany under "sacred art" manufactured.
Manual labour:
Some products are being made in our own shop or by our homeworkers. That way we craft for you e.g. altar-covers, chalice-linen or even customised candles. Especially with individualized candles we can implement your wishes promptly and uncomplicated.
Vestments:
In 2001 we started to engage ourselves with paraments. Since then a wide array was built and we are very happy to see the great response from our customers. In the year 2010 we developed a "Paraments-Quality-seal" to make aware of the special quality of our materials and workmanship.
It is known that almost all textiles for the profane use come from the east. It is not so known that vestments from the east appeare and are sold at the trade fair/exhibition. We believe it is important to support and keep the small traditional german companies which are a grown structure.

Restoration-expert:
For a few years now we are a sought after contact for the restoration of church-utensils. Qualified specialists are able to perform all necessary skilled tasks to make "New" out of "Old".
Here again we are happy that our customers, who already had one of their church utensiles restored by us and entrust us with more of their sacred treasures, recommend us to other parishes. This in turn verifies the satisfaction of our customers with our work.

Who we are:
"W. Friedrich Kirchenbedarf" (church requirements) is a medium sized company with its seat in Amberg. A team works in mailing, production, stocking, selling and in the office.

What else we do...
As supplier of ecclesiastical products it is understood by us to be socially involved. For us this is not an obligation – it is a belief.
For example we engage for the making of simple products a facillity for physically disabled. We also let the "filling-task" be done in a catholic youth welfare of youth who is mentally ill.

It was a job of a gap year usually taken to do voluntary work in the social sector. This way we got to know pastor Peter Kliegel and his work in Chile which we very much admire and gladly support.
